I mean Trae played defense and was positioned well enough that Giannis chose to take a fadeaway. Dunno what your definition of a defender forcing a player into a particular shot is if it isn’t that
 
I’ve never seen an episode of Animal Kingdom, but I feel like I know it intimately just from watching the NBA playoffs the last few years.

My definition is giannis had no business taking a fadeaway there against someone half his size. He takes bad shots all the time.

Collins with 16/13 through 3. They’ve been going small with him at 5. Haven’t done it much during the playoffs.

I’m really enjoying teams underestimating Trae in game 1s of series. Playing drop coverage with Brook Lopez against Trae’s PnR is a phenomenally terrible idea
 
I was wondering why it feels like the Hawks are controlling this game. The Hawks starters are all +8 to +14 and the bench is all -14 to -6.

Yeah. I’m not sure what Lopez’ role is going to be in this series. He’s only played 20 min today. They don’t need him to defend Capela. He doesn’t match up well with Collins.
 
Trae should shimmy before his long bombs. Maybe he would have better luck.

And Portis was playing well, and I don't think he's seen the court in the second half. Don't know what Bud's deal is with Portis.
