2021 Carolina Panthers Thread - Time for the 2022 thread

No excuse for this. They didn't even make the Eagles look good. The Eagles looked horrible and this team looked that much worse.

Chuba played well though. 24 carries for 101 yards. Looks like he could be the long term #2 to CMC.

How many fucking Eagles fans are there?

I walked around uptown this morning after church. Comparing jerseys probably 75%-25%, Philly fans. I was surprised at how many there were walking around pre-game.

Philly is a big city and the fans love their Eagles even when the team isn't very good.

Yep, as long as Deshaun is cleared, we’re going to trade the farm for him. Darnold is garbage. Worst QB performance I’ve seen since Delhomme’s 5 INTs in the playoffs.

There is no qb in the league that could play behind that offensive line.. We have the absolute worst guards and center. Darnold very rarely could step up in the pocket. He had people in his face or at his waist all day.

Both Darnold sucks and the OL sucks can be true at the same time. Darnold is a TO machine and our OL sucks. CMC mitigated many of both’s issues

Defense, at least, seems trending in the right direction. We take care of bad offenses.

We can't know much about Darnold if we don't give him a better OL than he had in NY, and this year's OL is graded about where NYJ's were last year. So it should not come as a surprise that Darnold is a turnover machine behind our crappy OL when that's what he was with the Jets OL.

Fitterer never had great OL's in Seatlle. Russell Wilson's mobility and creativity and Marshawn Lynch's beastly running masked this deficiency.

The OL didn’t throw three passes directly to the other team. The OL, as much as they’ve struggled, produced a 100 yard rusher to a backup rookie RB. I’m confident there’s not another starting QB in the league who would have lost that game today. And a lot of backups would have won too. Maybe he’ll, turn it around, but he looked like he had no clue what the defense was doing on a high percentage of snaps. “Seeing ghosts” again.

I agree. But the Eagles really needed this, so I'll take it.

We aren’t talking about Darnold or any of this if we don’t get a punt blocked. That’s absolutely inexcusable in the NFL.

Charlotte is such a transplant city (like most big cities in the south). I have learned to expect a ton of away fans at Panther games. You could really hear them late in the game when we were falling apart.

They started on the walk in with Fly Eagles Fly, etc. There were a lot of them.

Eagles fans travel. Charlotte is a one day drive from Philly. Most Eagles fans have seen a lot of bad years to go with the Superbowl win. They stay loyal. A lot like Wake fans.

Yeah, how many punts have been blocked in the NFL this year? The Bills had one blocked in their Steelers game opening weekend (which essentially cost them the win and the undisputed title as the #1 team in the league right now if they had won that game), but I can't recall seeing too many others in any highlights so far....

And not covering up the bad snap for the easy TD… unreal. Hurts did us a huge favor by trying to pick it up rather than cover it. Covering it would have been the safety but that’s what we got anyway. So the loss was the relatively easy TD. Should have known at that moment it would cost us.

Everyone from up north that is miserable moves half way down to Florida so they can split the difference, this is known. Aren't there more registered Bills fans on NFL.com with a NC home address zip code than Panthers fans? I'm 100% sure someone told me that one time but obviously have no way of confirming it.

I would like to point out that the Panthers are 0-2 since trading Dan Arnold, as I predicted. And who was the Jags leading receiver this weekend? You got it.
