Official 2021 College Football Thread: Grass Picker Named to CFP Selection Committee!

Be interesting to see where he lands.

Speculation has been Arizona State is the leader (Rattler is from AZ). Not clear if current ASU QB Jayden Daniels is going to the NFL (or transferring), but wherever Rattler goes, he is going to want assurances that he will be the starter.

Think he'd be really up for the USC game at all?

Yeah, all the draft sites that I've seen that have updated their boards in the last 2 months don't have him in the top 100. He has to reinvent himself somewhere else. ASU with Herm Edwards might make sense.

I’m sure cousin Mel will call.

UGA is a 6.5 point favorite over Bama. Breaking a 92 game streak as a favorite dating back to 2015

FSU coaches reportedly in Norman, OK meeting with Spencer Rattler and other potential transfer targets.

Sankey agrees with me.

Sankey agrees with me.

Sankey's quote is contradictory. Wouldn't winning a conference championship mean "earning" your way into the CFP? To me, winning a championship equates to "earning" a championship as opposed to not winning a championship, but getting a bid because a group of middle aged people think that your team passes the eye test. How is that earning your way into the CFP?

If you're an 8-4 Va Tech team that upsets 11-1 Clemson (or WFU) in the ACCCG after playing Syracuse and BC from the other division and losing your only competitive OOC game, you don't belong in the CFP. Period.

See 2009 ACCCG when 8-4 Clemson was ranked #25 and lost by 5 points to #12 Ga Tech, a team they had already lost to in the regular season.
