We have more ornaments than we can possibly use. My parents and grandparents and my in-laws have loaded us up. I can't remember the last time I considered buying an ornament.

A few from my and my wife’s childhood. A few that the kids have made. And then we buy an ornament whenever we travel somewhere.

We have another tree that only has balls on it. My wife makes a glass ball ornament for each of our kids each year it has their name, year, and inside it’s something that they were really into that year. That tree also has a few glass balls that we got when we were first married and had no Christmas ornaments and got some packs from target. A lot of those have broken over the years, so there’s only about one or two left and they now have some meaning.

Fell asleep beside my 3yo at 730 last night and slept till 6. Apparently I have lost my quick recovery skills.

After a few years of IPAs and then double IPAs, switching to light beer makes recovery a lot easier, but still feel just general bloat from consuming light beer for 12 hours straight.
 
I just learned that Jack Daniels died in 1911 from blood poisoning, reportedly the result of an infection that began in one of his toes after kicking a safe.

Oh yeah. I was super busy Saturday morning and early afternoon getting ready for our tailgate, and didn't dump out on schedule. I was also pretty loaded up from a formal dinner on Friday night. Everything got pushed to Sunday and I knew it was going to be prolific. I did not disappoint myself: A mix of beer and fried chicken that you've only read about in books.
