I did say “considerations” not yay or nay for any of the 3. Good thing Bkb roster timeline has a bit more flexibility than fb with the portal. Exciting times.

Marsh is definitely in line to get a lot of mins next year, either via Sy being gone or Walton & Sy being gone. Assuming Keller is the 4 in most lineups.

Monsanto and Mucius can be on the floor at the same time, not sure that is an issue.

Williamson I'm less sure how he will be used next season if he returns. Lot of mins up for grabs for guards. At PG - Rob, Mintz, Whitt, transfer? I could see Williamson splitting mins between the 1 and 2 like he does now. Assuming Monsanto has the initial edge to start at the 2, but Taylor will push him or at least grab mins as a rotational guy. Lots of bodies for 80 mins.

As the season has gone on Walton has proven to be a presence on both offense and D.

There are probably serviceable guards/small forwards that can shoot decently in the portal. Not sure there are many 7 footers with his skillset.

Hope all 3 come back, and Forbes & assistants will have an easy story to sell to any grad students or top transfers if needed.

We could go into next season with a lot of experience, again. Sprinkle in some young talent and figure out PG and I see no reason why we can’t be towards the top of the league in Forbes’ third season.

Just gotta beef up that OOC schedule.

Also lol that CBB went from worrying about guys leaving too soon to now wanting them to stay a fifth and sixth season!

Well be might be the ACC POY and certainly a first team ACC player … they don’t grow on trees
 
Are we in any early season tourneys next year? Those are usually set by now I think.

Just did a quick check of some of the early-season tournaments. All the ESPN associated ones (NIT tipoff, Charleston Classic, etc) announced fields in May, bracket in July.

Emerald Coast Classic, which we were in this season, announced the field last year on Feb 16, 2021. They haven't posted anything yet about the field for next season.
 
I think the Prosser Classic game against Xavier is back next season
 
LONG time lurker. First time poster since...wow...been a minute. But living in Colorado now and heading to see Zach Keller on Saturday. First round of the 5A Colorado State Championship. Go Deacs!

Tybo Bailey with 39 points tonight for Mt Tabor in the second round of the state tournament. Anyone know why he left Oak Hill?

Rumor was OH kept recruiting players late (over him) and he was losing playing time. Hard to figure as this has been announced as OH coach Steve Smith’s final season. But maybe he wanted to make a late run at the mythical national championship or whatever?
 
Just back from Zach Keller's game. ThunderRidge beat a scrappy opponent 54-48. Keller had 18. Really like his game. He's pretty even keel out there, but he has a competitive/mean streak. A stretch 4, may even play some 3 in a big lineup. Really athletic and big bodied. On defense, he can really move his feet and get off the floor for blocks and rebounds. ThunderRidge plays a lot of 2-3 with Keller at the 5. Nobody big enough on the other team to really mix it up with him in the paint. On offense, he has a really nice stroke from beyond the arc and a polished post game. It was a really tight game late, and I think Keller finished the last 2:00 with a steal and four dunks, including a monster alley oop. Also must have had 4-6 assists. Really sees the floor well. Versatile player and likely 2022 contributor. Very much the type of player that Steve Forbes wants.

Also talked to his dad for a while. Seems like a great family. Look forward to seeing him on campus.

Thanks for the report! How did he compare to Dinos? Seems like Keller has a similar size and profile.
