I’m on a Caribbean vacation right now and this morning a guy saw my wake hat, announced that he was a tarheel fan and started talking some hoops. It quickly became apparent that he really didn’t know what the fuck he was talking about when he said “I thought Danny manning was doing a good job. They just needed to give him more time”. My wife could see me tensing up and pulled me away from the conversation as only a loving spouse can do. “. He also said that he thought coach K was a really nice guy.

I'm not sure how the alums are holding us back when no specific arena or other objective has been articulated. There has to be a clear, defined goal from the administration as to what they want the alums to help them achieve. For example, the Wake Will campaign was well-defined and highly successful. I'm about 100% sure any NIL or new arena campaign would be as well if the administration lays out precisely what it wishes to accomplish and how us alums and donors can assist.

Just randomly bitching that people aren't helping is not productive. Helping do WHAT precisely? Many people will gladly help but they're not just going to send in $100,000 checks and hope someone builds an arena for them.

A doctor can't cure the patient unless he/she tells them where it hurts.

I respect Currie a ton. As you know, I called on us to hire him a decade ago.

However, his reality is nearly everyone wanted to hire Forbes and keep playing in the Joel. He’s got a new gig and virtually no voices or donors calling for a new venue or backing a young Coach. He’s doing what he must.

Nope. A real leader leads. You wouldn't allow outside investors to control the direction of any one of the tens of businesses you own. You set the path and convince those financing that path that you know the way.

Don't expect less out of Currie than you do yourself. He is leading Wake on the path that he has set. If your vision conflicts with his, use whatever sway you might have to change his mind.
 
I very much let outside investors control my LLCs when it’s mainly their money. How the hell would I get them to invest again?

Currie sees this as a marathon. He needs significant buy in to raise capital short and long term. Almost no one is calling for a new stadium. I’d be doing the same thing he is. Trying to prod and move the needle. He knows he can’t be the dictator Wellman was. It won’t work over the long haul.

On the record with saying Deacs will be good next year regardless of how things shake out with LaRavia and our super seniors. Forbes and his staff knows what the fuck they're doing.

We are definitely that! Lots of available minutes and some easy classes for hoops transfers. Play in a tractor pull arena too! Come one come all we service them all! Launching pad for 7point a game Juco players!

I really don’t understand why you even follow Wake. It’s like someone forced you to attend and then follow the sports teams. You’re rude about our most successful alums like CP, you invoked borderline slave language to discuss Alondes and you act like our dedicated fanbase is made up of a bunch of idiots who are in constant need of your wisdom. Just embrace the Dookie inside you and leave us alone.
