WFU Hoops: '22-'23 Roster Construction Thread: +Ituka/Carr/Appleby/Bradford

Do they do vibes on that board? Maybe this clawsin guy just hasn't heard of vibes. Maybe vibes are foreign to those fellas.

So there's an insider on Les's board posting similar thoughts on roster construction as myself and the other insiders on this board ?

I’m reading that thread and the clawsin guy sounds pretty measured and reasonable but everyone is flipping out at him like he is burning the program to the ground. Also, noticed Les gets super defensive anytime someone doesn’t take all his posts as gospel and bow down and thank him for his insider information.

Weird place.

Lester is very sensitive.

Spot on. I’m paying for #scoops, not for Les to whine.

So we are losing everyone with eligibility to return and incoming players won’t be good on paper. Sounds like more “if you would have told me at beginning of season” posts following no tournament appearance.

Haven’t lost Daivien and Zay yet, or the freshmen

So what exactly is the situation with Laravia ? Did he put his name in for evaluation with the possibility of returning or some such ?

Thanks,
BiffTannen

Yes. Probably gone though.

Calling someone obnoxious and argumentative just for disagreeing with his conclusions does not exactly scream “unassuming”
It probably shouldn't surprise me that our perspective on how that exchange went down differs quite a bit.

The guy was being an ongoing jerk about gloom and doom and foregone conclusions of us having no one, getting no one and falling into the abyss again. Les asked him to gain some perspective about the evolving landscape of Portal, NIL etc as we move toward this year’s normal.

You’ll be shocked to learn that Les admitted that he might have been being a bit sensitive on the thread in question.

Gloom and doom and foregone conclusions sounds like a Modest Mouse record

Modest mouse are way cleverer than that. At least they used to be.

Anyway, vibes or not?

What's going on with the guy from UNC-Charlotte that cancelled his visit? Is it getting rescheduled?

There must have been some lack of clarity about whether he had actually graduated when we scheduled the visit. He has not graduated, which means he's not a realistic prospect for Wake anymore. This must be the reason why he received crystal balls to Maryland.

He won't graduate this May. So he can't be a grad transfer. Originally he was supposed to be moving as a grad transfer. So he wouldn't be academicly eligible at Wake, nor at a number of other schools as an undergraduate. Not enough credits would transfer (max 60) would transfer. Thus Wake ended the recruitment.

Hayden Brown to South Carolina which makes a lot of sense for him.
