Official 2022 College Football Thread: Georgia is Back to Back Champions !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay related trivia questions for Wednesday morning! Since the start of the 2020 season, Wake is 17-1 outright as a favorite which is obviously an excellent record:

1) Who is the lone team to defeat a favored Wake Forest since the start of the 2020 season?

2) While only losing one game over this stretch as a favorite is impressive, 8 teams have a perfect record as a favorite with the following sample sizes: 26, 10, 8, 8, 7, 4, 4, 3. There are 3 P5 teams in here and 5 G5 teams. Name any of them.

3) The team with the current best streak as a favorite has won a ridiculous 46 games in a row when favored dating back to November 18, 2017. Who holds this current record and who was the last team to beat them when favored?
1. Guessing we were favored in one of the UNC losses

3. I'm gonna guess Ohio State and that they lost to Penn State as a favorite

Wake was +2.5 and +12.5 to UNC the last two years (notably both in Chapel Hill).

Ohio State lost to Michigan last year 42-27 as a -6.5 favorite.

louisville in the covid year
Yes - Wake was -1 on the road coming off a month of no games (and one game total in the last six weeks) due to Covid and got romped 45-21

The other losses since this game were to Wisconsin in the bowl, UNC twice, Clemson twice, and Pitt. Wake was an underdog in the last six losses.

Cincy has a long winning streak as a favorite. Guessing they have won 46 in a row. Think Kansas may be unbeaten as a favorite as they are unbeaten as a fave this year, and not sure if they were ever favored in the two years before.

Cincy is indeed the answer to number 3. They've been favored a ton and...haven't lost as a favorite in a while.

The remainder of answer 2 is a bit of an odd collection of teams - one is from the ACC

Spencer Petras has one more pass attempt than CJ Stroud this season, but 21 fewer touchdowns.

Shamar McCollum vs Ahmani Marshall at 7:30 PM on ESPN2. I'm all over the Panthers (+10) in this one.

Petras has 53.7 pass attempts per interception. Stroud has 53.3 pass attempts per interception. Brian Ferentz has everything under control...

RIP Charley Trippi, 100 years old. Defeated UNC-CH in their first ever bowl appearance.
