WF MBB: Game #1 - Fairfield Stags - November 7 - 8pm - ACCN+

Forbes seemed solid early on with his rotations last year. This year, it's looking like Appleby, Williamson, Carr then beats-the-shit-outta-me.

Has McCray really not improved enough to crack the rotation at all?

Appleby looks like he’s going to be a nice addition. Very quick and nice passer. We need him to be the primary PG. Carr looks great. There might not be that big of a drop off from Jake. I’m very worried about the 5 though.
agree with all this

I have a feeling Forbes is sending a message to the team by who is playing and who is not. Hopefully by next game we’re seeing our better players play more. There’s a 0% chance Lucas Taylor should be playing over Monsanto.

Well, yeah we can see some issues. We might never know where our points will be coming from. Desperate for more low post offense, we are low.

Positives so far - defense has been solid overall (low post with a few issues), good rebounding, limited turnovers and versatility of Carr.
Offense has been brutal - no flow, poor shooting (38% from field, 27% from 3 pt line) and few guys with ability to create on their own.

I thought Monsanto would comfortably be our top scorer this year and now he doesn't even play? Yikes.

Did Monsanto actually play??? The box score says yes but I certainly don’t remember seeing him.

Last year we had a pretty obvious rotation of experienced players. This roster is a crap shoot. This is a rebuilding roster with a bunch of young players who play a lot and develop through the season.

Yeah. Monsanto played. Looked a lot slimmer than last season. Got up a shot or two. Got some defensive boards.

I could be wrong, but give me an Appleby, Daivien, Monsanto, Carr, Bradford lineup with Klintman, Keller, Ituka, Cam, Taylor rotating in. We have pieces to work with. Not sure if we have a ‘take over’ type of player like Alondes or Jake last year but Carr looks pretty good. Also think Monsanto can be a ‘take over’ kind of player if he stays disciplined.

Monsanto is a walking bucket and threat to blow a game open. Appleby can easily be driving and dishing to him. But instead I’m spending my night watching Hildreth take those shots. And miss them. All of them.

I think we need Monsanto more in the offense. Carr can’t do it all!

I like Hildreth, very versatile but we need to make a few shots.

Monsanto could be a hot shooter who gets some energy boards. But he's not the creator this team needs.

When he was in, he rebounded well and made a great move that created a jumper that missed. He certainly didn’t do anything that would justify not getting back in IMO.

I would like to see if Monsanto could get the hot hand, especially more than these Hildreth isolations.
