MBB Game 11: App State @ LJVM - Wednesday 7 pm - ACCN

There was no floor spacing without Monsanto. That hurt Appleby ability to drive the lane and Marsh on his stuffs. App just stayed all on Appleby all game.

Need another real shooter. Team doesn’t have that and if Monsanto is in the dog house, it’s bad news. Williamson is a good spot up shooter but he doesn’t stretch a defense.

Well you know App always plays us tough…..wait this wasn‘t football was it?

What happened? I got in the car after our office party turned on Stan and Dinger, heard App hit the 3 and then our miss and App had the ball up 1 with 2 seconds and turned it off. How in the world did we win?

Was screaming at my TV before that 3. The App guy was over there with his hand raised on nobody on him for about 5 seconds. Looked like the US Men's Soccer team on defense.

He hit the 3, so App by 1. Appleby went out with an ankle injury so not available for our last play, which was Cam driving down and missing a shot under the basket. Then we rolled on the floor for about 5 seconds trying to get a rebound, which they got and they were fouled with 2.3 seconds left and us with fouls to give. They threw the ball in-- tipped by Carr I think, which changed the trajectory of the ball slightly and the App guy couldn't hold onto it. Out of bounds to us with 1.3 seconds left. Inbounds play was Cam to Carr about 10 feet from the hoop with his back to the basket. Turn around jumper, swish at the buzzer.

App worked its ass off to lose the game and did so quite well.

Well at least we changed it up a little

Thanks for the summary,

The rolling around in the floor was a tie up. Possession to App. Officials, basically said Carr didn’t tip the ball as the clock started when App touched the ball.

Shouldn’t App just have passed it all the way down to their basket? Even if we intercepted it it’s a heave in 1.3 seconds. Passing directly under our basket made no sense to me.

yes - however the risk is that if nobody touches it, it's our ball under our basket. And we had a 7-footer on the ball for a spot throw-in

Could be a blessing in disguise, maybe this team needs to learn to play without him carrying so much of the load.
