MBB Game 11: App State @ LJVM - Wednesday 7 pm - ACCN

I will say, guy could not run the baseline and spot was mostly under our basket.
 
From Forbes to Stan:
Zach didn't play because they were going to need to play smaller.
Monsanto "has got to live up to the standards....My decision and move on."
 
Glad we won, but damn. Forbes' lineup management and in game coaching is rough. And he struggles with high school recruiting. If those don't improve, and improve soon, he's not going to be the guy long-term.

Forbes recruited Monsanto twice and has coached him most of his career. The fact that he still can't trust him to play him a single minute in a close game vs. a shitty team is concerning, at best.

Not sure. I took it to mean on the court. But who knows?

Hard to see how Forbes couldn't find minutes for Keller. Carr played 37. Marsh played 25. Bradford played 7.

Only 34 bench minutes today. Appleby and Hildreth played 34. Daivien played 36. So Forbes finally tightened the rotation and barely beat App.
 
They weren’t even in the bonus yet either. There was almost no way for them to lose that game, but found a way.
Feel bad for Appleby if his injury is serious.

Yeah, I mean I think Monsanto needs to learn to play within himself and more inside the team framework, but a complete benching makes me wonder if there‘s more to it?

This may be why they didn't bother trying to throw it deep - literally all they had to do was get it in bounds - it would take us a second to commit a foul and they would get to take it out again... throw it in again and the game would be essentially over.

He hit the 3, so App by 1. Appleby went out with an ankle injury so not available for our last play, which was Cam driving down and missing a shot under the basket. Then we rolled on the floor for about 5 seconds trying to get a rebound, which they got and they were fouled with 2.3 seconds left and us with fouls to give. They threw the ball in-- tipped by Carr I think, which changed the trajectory of the ball slightly and the App guy couldn't hold onto it. Out of bounds to us with 1.3 seconds left. Inbounds play was Cam to Carr about 10 feet from the hoop with his back to the basket. Turn around jumper, swish at the buzzer.

Kudos to you for still screaming. Wish I still had an ounce of that emotional investment towards this program.
 
Forbes said we went small and had Carr at center as the explanation for not playing Zeller. But I swear I saw Marsh and Bradford on the court. Klintman too.
 
Can’t shoot sitting on the end of the bench. It’s like having him sit in a corner. Overkill.
