MBB Game 13: Duke Blue Devils @ LJVM - Tuesday 6:30 ACCN

Good win. We just watched the Deacs play GGTT for 40 minutes.

Everyone who played contributed. Best win of the season.

Tyree and Davien looked a little quicker and more assertive tonight. The ankle and back are mending.

Hildreth adjusted well on offense. Quit taking it to the net and started shooting from 8-10 feet out in the lane. Cam and Ty are the leaders on this team and tonight they led.

The big men played well. 27 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals combined from the 4 and 5 positions. Their defense gave Filipowski fits and limited Duke's offensive rebounds/points all game.

Best total game I've seen from Monsanto. His play against the press late was outstanding. Composed, good handle and good decisions. Decent D with a bit of a thief to it. Good effort the entire game. Made a big difference.

The Deacons won this game on the line by a 12 point margin. Huh? We all made a journey to the Twilight Zone tonight and it was a pleasure.
 
Bobi with 3 pts on a 3-pointer, 2 reb, 1 stl, 1 to and some solid D in four minutes. That’s something to build on.
 
Was at the game and what a joy to watch. Everyone played well and Hildreth is a beast. Just a great team win

ACCN posted a graphic that this was Forbes’ first win (at Wake presumably) v a top 25 team. Not accurate?

First against AP-ranked team. VT was KP top 25 at the time. UNC became top 25 later in year. Neither were AP ranked at time of game.

God, nothing would make me happier than a reactionary firing of Scheyer after like 2 seasons for them to hire one of Wojo/Capel/Amaker and just totally nuke the program.

Bonus schadenfreude points if Scheyer goes on to do something absolutely insane like resurrecting DePaul or St. John's.

This is in no way meant to say I feel sorry for Scheyer at all!!! However, following Coach K would be a tough gig.
 
Not only is Marsh 7 ft but he moves exceptionally well off the block and anticipates the lob perfectly. He has a great vertical for his size and will be completely unguardable at the college level by next year.
 
I hope Scheyer gets fired and is wildly successful at some non-ACC school.

How sweet would it be to watch Duke sanctimoniously cudgel not just one of their own, but K's hand picked successor? K, while being the biggest self-agrandizing twat to ever grace God's creation, is the level of petty that this would probably destroy his relationship with Duke.

Then, for Duke basketball to sink into a deep abyss while they watch their discarded coach succeed elsewhere, destroying their self-assigned basketball infallibility would be the coup de grâce.

Then Cameron burns down or something. Idc what happens at that point.
 
With those free throw numbers, Scheyer must need some work on his F-bomb game. A K coached team doesn't get out shot from the line like that.
