Disney World Tips and Tricks

If you have a child or someone in your party with a disability/special needs, consider getting the Disability Access Pass. You have to contact them 2 to 30 days before your trip to get the most out of it.

Nah the good thing about going with my folks this time as opposed to her parents last time is my parents can straight up move. They walk an hour a day on steep mountain roads so no disability access. We were waiting on her parents the whole vacation last time.

No REAL disability!

My neighbors are big Disney nerds... They bring their RV down there and stay at Fort Wilderness (or whatever it is called). When we told them we were going, they told us we needed to do this DAX pass.

They have a son who is 100% fine (he's really weird, but fine), and they told Disney he has some issue where he can't stand in lines... Some sort of ADHD thing.

So now they just get windows of time to do each ride (like a LL). Such a joke. I was like, "thanks, but no thanks."

I am not the kind of guy to make up some shit to jump the line. Feels like a slap in the face to people who actually have kids with mental issues.

And it says on that link that if they find out you made it up, you are banned from Disney forever.

ETA: The pass is not for people with mobility issues... It is mental issues. Imagine telling one of your kids, "Hey, we're going to pretend you have issues so we can all jump the line!" What kind of lesson does that teach?

Your neighbors kinda suck, man.

My shitty human thought(me being the shifty human) last time I was at Disney was that I found it really unfair that people that had eaten themselves into a scooter got to fly past me in every line.

On the other hand, you've got the 5 extra minutes of life to wait in a line that they probably don't.

There was a guy in front of me in the Rise of the Resistance line that looked to be about 95 years old. He was very frail and being pushed in a wheelchair where he was covered in a blanket up to his neck (except for the one gloved hand holding his iPhone). I legit thought that he was going to die in line.

How in the hell was that guy ever going to ride that ride? He'd have snapped like every bone in his body.

As far as I know, he didn't die. But I didn't see him again. We were in a different group when we got to the front.

I saw too many dudes wearing shirts like:

"Let's wear matching shirts to Disney World!"
--said no man/husband/dad/grandpa ever

That's worse than the matching shirts.

"most expensive day every"
"im just here to pay for everythinb"
"the worst disney villain is my wife"

yeah, a lot of meta negative stuff

If I was up for it, I'd make one of those Lawful/Chaotic Good/Bad charts about Disney shirts.

But overall, the gender-normative complaining guy shirts are annoying.

I get the most compliments on my Golden Girls t-shirt, and occasionally my kitten or unicorn themed shirts. I do not own any Disney shirts and certainly wouldn't wear them to the parks.

That's hot. Did she incorporate any role play into the trip ?

Believe me, those fatties walking around Main Street USA were writing their own stories about you two.
