Sounds like something‘s getting ready to happen. The FAA put a ground stop on Wilmington, Charleston and Myrtle Beach for a military activity.
 
Makes sense to shoot it down over water and recover it.
 
They shot it down once it got over water near Myrtle Beach.

Honestly that should have been a national PSA.
 
Surely we were jamming this thing if the plan was to wait it out until it was over water.
 
Happened near my mom's place at the beach. She said the house shook more today when they were shooting the balloon down than when a tree fell on her porch during October's hurricane!
