Wake Forest Basketball Recruiting: Juke Harris Commits!!

For literally decades WFU tried to play the games (actual and program) with one hand tied behind its back, acting like it was above the fray. This used to infuriate me.

Now, finally (finally) WFU is going to actually play the games in a manner similar to the way literally everyone else is playing them, and we have fans complaining. This now infuriates me.

I mean what kind of fan base longs for the time when WFU imposed idiotic, voluntary restrictions on itself (a Wellmanesque endeavor if ever there was one) that ensured mediocrity, in some failed attempt to pre-excuse losing?

I say play the games or don't, but no special rules because we're special. Because you know what's more special?

Agreed. But it's just this one dude. Somehow not even the old-timers are complaining about it. Just good ole 22 year old NJdeac22. If he keeps this kind of thing up on recruiting threads, he's gotta get banned. Also, if for some reason we don't get Juke Harris, he's gotta be banned for that too.

Super pumped to compete on an even playing field.
 
Any details on the Juke announcement tomorrow? Like, what time is the Deacon mascot arriving and which hat is he going to pretend to go for before putting on the black and gold cap?

I'll be watching.

he did twitter shout outs to his three finalists three days in a row and the order was VT, UT, then Wake. I'm taking that as a countdown.

I'm pretty consistent and it's not about ruining fun. Imo, dishonesty and greed are ruining college athletics. Collectives and pay for play disguised as NIL is the most dishonest practice in sports, and I am against it. I would be and was just as vocal about this when it led to us not getting players. Most of you were too. I am not going to change my tune this time because we're the ones benefiting, which most of you seem ready to do.

It’s hard to imagine we have posters too young for that reference but here we are. Also take it to that other thread.
