Sandusky Gets 30 Years

From PennLive:

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno says he's disappointed university President Graham Spanier has canceled the team's weekly press conference, without explanation, this morning. The press conference was supposed to begin in an hour, at 12:30 p.m., and Spanier canceled it without conferring with the coach, Paterno said. Paterno said he wasn't told why Spanier canceled the event.

I don't believe shit coming from them right now. Paterno owns that school. Nothing would be done behind his back.

I don't think the "WE ARE...PATHETIC!" chant will take off at the game.

Penn State is like what we saw in that video from China. People in the Penn State community turned a blind eye to abuse. Pure and simple. And people like Philly are kidding themselves if they think only a few people knew.

shhhhhhh, he may go off and call you a douche bag

Anyone still want to invite PSU into the ACC?

How can they not fire him? I really don't see any way that not firing him is even an option at this point.

I think it's even less likely they'd come now that we know how much they love the Little Ten.

My first thought was that the cancellation of games was pointless (and unfair to 99% of the people involved)...

Now... I'm kinda thinking that it would be a good P.R. move by the university.

Bottom line is: somebody within that place needs to take a stand and prove that they recognize that football is not above everything else.

This will kill JoePa. He's going to retire at the end of the year then drop dead a la Bear Bryant. His legacy will be the Sandusky scandal.

That said, the internet tough guy talk is LOL.

I'd be very impressed if the PSU board of trustees comes out and cleans house within a week of the scandal breaking. That is how something like this should be handled. Quickly and decisively.

If I ever run for office, you're hired as my press secty. Totally agree. Get out in front of this as much as you can and put a bullet in it.

Miami, Ohio St. and North Carolina are all doing backflips now. Their infractions seem completely harmless and "who cares" compared to this mess at Penn St.
