Wutcville’s posts are so unhinged. He’s listening to several hours of podcasts PER DAY about this and opining about the order of mid-round safeties and shit.
Because so rarely in life are you present to watch someone achieve their dream. To be there as someone who has worked their whole life towards a single goal and to see their reaction as it happens in real time, is a simple joy that we do not get to experience too often. From a sporting stand point, it is the sole intersection of college football and professional football, its the one point where these two leagues intersect and your passion for both can be realized. Further, if you have an interest in how NFL front offices work, it is the best glimpse into how these people evaluate talent and what they are looking for in players.i have never understood people who get THAT into the draft unless it's their job. why do I give a shit who the chargers pick at #21, esp when it's some LT that went to McFucksville State?
yeah like he'll say stuff like "I like the Princeton WR in the 5th round"cville’s posts are so unhinged. He’s listening to several hours of podcasts PER DAY about this and opining about the order of mid-round safeties and shit.
If it brightens your day the vast majority of elementary school teachers I know are gonna go in their pockets to make sure that kid gets to pick out a little something, but yeah I think most of us our pretty disconnected with how prevalent serious poverty actually is in this country.Man that mako book fair post got me down good this morning. Money was always tight for my parents growing up but a few new books was never a question.
yeah when I was working in downtown DC I know they were building new office buildings and hotels to cater to all the companies there, but can't imagine what it's like now. I know a bunch of shit like downtown Starbucks have closed down.Wow office space vacancy in SF up to 30%. Reading some article right now about a building that’s up for sale that was valued at around $300MM in 2019 and is now expected to sell for around $60MM. Yikes.
Yeah I definitely appreciate what you all are doing. Wish it didn’t have to be that way but I know even a little bit will make a huge difference in a kid’s life.If it brightens your day the vast majority of elementary school teachers I know are gonna go in their pockets to make sure that kid gets to pick out a little something, but yeah I think most of us our pretty disconnected with how prevalent serious poverty actually is in this country.
Yeah I mean when Starbucks closes you know shit is serious.yeah when I was working in downtown DC I know they were building new office buildings and hotels to cater to all the companies there, but can't imagine what it's like now. I know a bunch of shit like downtown Starbucks have closed down.
We moved offices last year from the Watergate to a fancy new spot at 14th and L, and we are one of three tenants in this building, which could fit like 75% more capacity rn.yeah when I was working in downtown DC I know they were building new office buildings and hotels to cater to all the companies there, but can't imagine what it's like now. Are you more productive at the office or at home?We moved offices last year from the Watergate to a fancy new spot at 14th and L, and we are one of three tenants in this building, which could fit like 75% more capacity rn.
I like it bc the gym is never crowded and the cold brew coffee on tap in the lounge is great. I’m sure my company is enjoying the super discounted rates too.
I care significantly more about the draft now that I started playing dynasty fantasy football with friends. But I still don’t really care about anyone drafted after #10 that doesn’t play QB, WR, RB, or TE.i have never understood people who get THAT into the draft unless it's their job. why do I give a shit who the chargers pick at #21, esp when it's some LT that went to McFucksville State?
4 yo and 7yo. 7yo's first words off the bus yesterday were "dad, I'm definitely gonna need some more money for the book fair" I sent her with some extra money for the kids in her class that didn't have any cash so they didn't have to have literally the worst day that they'd ever experience in elementary school and she was absolutely incensed that I would give kids that weren't mine the same amount of money to spend at the book fair as my own child. Really doing some pretty hardcore reflecting on my parenting right now.
