Spurs Thread

Old CP3 has a good track record of making bad teams much better and bringing out the best in a promising guard.

Also the Spurs have a young cheap core so they have to do something with the cap room for the next two years.

I suggested that the Suns should get a PG like Tre Jones. How about a sign and trade for CP?

Take a shot that he can elevate Vassell’s game and mentor Wesley. The Suns get a defensive minded PG and some rotation shooters.

who's donkier, San Antonio Spurs donks or Tottenham Hotspur donks?

It doesn't matter. But this is spurs donk thread so don't be an asshole that guy.

I'd be down with cp3. Pop wants to play fast and move the ball. He certainly can but he is slowing down.

SAN ANTONIO — After knowing he'll likely call the San Antonio Spurs his next basketball home following the conclusion of the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, Victor Wembanyama is wrapping up his time in France's LNB pro basketball league highly decorated.

The LNB announced Wembanyama is the winner of several awards including league MVP, Scoring Champion, Blocked Shots Champion, Best Young Player Award, named to the LNB top five players team, and the Defensive Player of the Year.

Cp3 needs to be healthy at playoff time.

Dang my post about CP3 to the Spurs kept Ph up all night I think.

15 year old Sochan vs. 14 year old Wemby in an Poland vs. France match at an international youth tournament.

Just an article about Duncan teaching Wemby at home. Odd. Article was literally no info.

Ok. Yeah. I saw an article saying that the Spurs “announced” Duncan, Parker, and Manu will be mentoring Wemby as if it was news. Duncan stops by practice whenever he feels like it. Parker has been mentoring Wemby for years. And Manu’s front office job is player development.

Yeah, not sure why no link appeared. Weird.

Duncan has a locker and shows up to help out or join practice (practice!?!?) When he wants. Of course he'd stop in and give wemby a few tips.

So, the lottery was fixed.

There was an article a few weeks ago where Pop said when Duncan wanted to try coaching, they made sure it could happen strongly hinting that he knew it wouldn’t stick. If Duncan wanted to come out of retirement, they’d cut whoever they need to cut to make it happen. They’d let Duncan do anything except take over for Pop. Maybe.

That's gotta be a call back to the season Duncan actually assisted. Don't think that was ever intended to be long term.
