I think that’s pretty unfair. As with anything it depends greatly on the substance of the comment. “Stupid comments get crapped on” is a universal rule of any message board. Stupid in this case can also include comments that aren’t fact based, disingenuous or pure trolling.

and for the umpteenth time, read the threads and see what people actually debate on here and then decide whether it looks like it’s a defense squad for all ideas leftist or whatever.
 
The people here most unhappy with Democrats seem to be the people who mostly vote for them.

So, hardly true there’s reflexive defending of them.

Conservative hysterics, otoh, are properly ridiculed by anyone whut understands them and the context in which they are offered.

Promoting conservative policies is NOT the same as baselessly suggesting that a bag of cocaine must belong to a relative of the president. Baseless accusations are MAGA territory, and all MAGA ideas deserve to be mocked because they are empirically stupid. If you want to discuss actual conservative policies, you'll find that many of us are receptive.

Cocaine would have to be put there by someone who took the tour and left without it, right? Otherwise, they'd figure out whose it is in a second. No way this person did not know they left without their coke-they either left it intentionally or some secret service agent happened to look their way as they were retrieving it and they did not feel comfortable taking it out of the locker.

Biden is highly demented and incompetent and his party is at fault for not uniting against him (because there is not a deep bench) long ago to get him out. His wife is also to fault for spousal abuse in not getting Old Joe out of the firing line long ago
