I had cinnamon life cereal today and that’s the first non store brand cereal I’ve purchased in a while because if not on sale, name brand cereal apparently costs like $7.50 a box. Inflation my ass, that is straight up gouging. Post corn flakes don’t cost 3x the store brand corn flake price from inflation.
 
Came home to a flourishing garden with some hiccups. The pots of garlic, a blackberry bush, a bunch of leeks, all got fried. And something has happened to my sugar peas. They collapsed the trellis and appear to have fried even tho they’re on drip irrigation

Growing blackberries is weird to me because our kids just walk the wood line and come back with purple faces and bucket loads.

We must have not gotten a single drop of rain. Shoulda put them on the drip line too. Was looking forward to them

I definitely feel a lot better about my body on a NC/SC beach than I do when I vacation down in @WindyCityDeac land.
 
My wife asked me why guys have a shirt on in the pool. I told her cause their belly’s are bigger than my beer gut. I also typically wear a shirt in the pool but I appreciate her forgetting that.

Best part of the Art Loeb trail is the 5 mile stretch between black balsam and shining rock where you can just pick and eat blackberries as you hike.
 
My MIL has Alzheimer’s and it has progressed rapidly. She tells everyone that I’m not worth a damn but she also mentions how she makes me blackberry pies cause I love them. It’s been 20+ years since she made me one. Kind of wanting one now.
 
My wife and I have been discussing the prospect of filming the act of lovemaking recently and she is a little hesitant because she’s not sure she will like how her body looks on camera and I don’t have the heart to tell her I’ll probably just be looking at myself American Psycho style anyway.

My dad's mom was deteriorating several years ago. My mom went to see her at the nursing home one afternoon.
