Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

This was me last week so I couldn’t hedge a little on Glover down the stretch. Thanks for nothing South Carolina

MGM has a bet $25 on the St. Jude get a $10 bonus bet promo going. -300 minimum odds for the $25. Took Rahm to top 20 at exactly -300 (ties pay in full) and tossed the bonus bet on Scottie at +650.

Also have Rahm boosted to 12-1 on DK, Morikawa 25-1, Poston 60-1, and Glover 75-1.

Weird circumstances but three winners from the last month all finished top four here last year behind Zalatoris (Straka, Harman, Glover).

Having Henley last week absolutely vomit all over himself was painful holding a pre tourney ticket for him.
Didn't add anything else other than a sprinkle on Rahm and Rory to FRL just for a little fun. Should've just done it on Scottie too to cover that entire pairing but let's roll those dice baby.

I can't think of two professional golfers who ruined their public images worse than Tiger and Phil. Especially remarkable is that they were the two most popular players of their generation by far. You always heard Phil was phony FIGJAM, but plenty of athletes put on a better face in public. Still, between Phil's role in LIV and now this (which has been rumored for years), man.

People still love Tiger.

Patrick Reed isn't nearly as famous, but absolutely no one likes him.

Reed is absolutely up there. Hell even Bryson is up there for me but he's totally irrelevant at this point for most of the year and nobody ever thinks about him (or Reed for that matter)

Reed was relevant and quite the center of attention at a Rolex event earlier this year in Dubai where he pointed to the wrong tree and positively identified his ball. Finished 1 back of Rory after cheating.

Watched some of Walton Heath today. Kinda liked it, though I would prefer a links course. Heather isn't gorse, but it still looks really tough to hit out of. Any of you folks experience heather before? 3 Americans and local favorite Hull up at or near the lead. I've never been a big fan of the Memphis course and would never want to play it on an August afternoon. I'd rather see something like the Canadian Open in this spot.

Some context for his 58. While it's a crazy number, it still was on an exceedingly easy course against a crap field.

Crap course that also held a PGA event for a few years. Stuart Appleby shot a 59 in the first year of the event in 2010. Bet you didn’t think that was a crap score back then! Was it a crap field when Appleby did it? Don’t think shouting a 58 in competition matters who you are playing against. Sounds like jealousy to me.
