Unfortunately having better WRs doesn’t help if our OL allows Jared Verse to murder Griffis before he can get the ball to them
 
Banks is the exact type of tall, lanky WR FSU always seems to get, obviously including Johnny Wilson.

My least favorite play in all of football is a quick jump ball to the end zone from within the 10, but FSU runs it as well as anyone. I like it a lot more from the 20 where they just hit.

Johnny Wilson is the smallest 6’7” wide receiver I’ve ever seen. He plays like a slot receiver, he’s always crouched over catching slants. It’s bizarre. Maybe his vertical jump sucks? But I’d be throwing jump balls to that dude all day.
 
Why can’t we just NIL some corn fed midwestern OL and DL? Our skill players are better than these top 10 teams.

A few of the old Nebraska linemen types would be useful. Like David Rimington 2.0.
 
I think they’re already bought. The one year Wake had an elite OLine we won the ACC championship.

Definitely not making excuses. I've been pretty clear the past couple years that we aren't as good as people say we are and any success is because we are in an awful conference. Granted, living in Atlanta and spending most of my time the past few years either watching or attending Alabama games with my girlfriend who graduated from Bama not too long ago, going to UGA games with my sons or work colleagues or attending Gator games while drilling in Starke, FL. I see no evidence we or anyone in the ACC is close to that level. SEC is on another level right now. It just means more.

I’m curious if there’s data on this, but it seems like low recruitment-rated skill positions turn into college stars at a much much higher frequency than OL/DL recruits.

I guess size isn’t really a developmental attribute
