Game Thread: ODU 12:00 noon 9/16 ESPN2

Clawson’s reviews of the upcoming opponent always scare me. He does a good job playing them up, no matter who it is.

The ODU coach returned the favor, calling us one if 2-3 teams that will compete for the ACC title this year.

Is there a link to the ODU coach's remarks? And I agree. Clawson makes every opponent sound like UGA.

The "or" comes from our rotation of ones - we basically have 4 starting receivers and line up:

Banks___Ke'Shawn________________________________________Morin

Banks____Morin___________________________________________Grimes

Grimes___Slot_____________________________________________Banks
depth chart used to mean something under grobe

under clawson it’s like a suggestion

I linked his press conference a little earlier in the thread.

Watched and his comments toward the end regarding Vanderbilt and WFU and academics were quite impressive. Seemed more than genuine and not some "smoke blowing" exercise. I agree with him. Recruit to YOUR strength!

Wake has struggled with close call wins in these type road games- see app and tulane.

Hope that's not the case this weekend.

Pretty sure those teams were better than ODU. And I think this team is better than those Wake teams.

The jury is still out with me regarding the defense. Mitch is not Hartman level (yet at least), but I think the offense is fine, the defense is still a question mark for me.

Yes. First game.

Threw for 378 yards and 2 TDs; had at least one costly turnover in the red zone.

Sciba missed a chip shot for the first FG of his career, too.

Mack Brown went into Tulane's HOF. That was a weird night.

It still makes me mad too. . . . they hardly gave that replay a review, here is the actual still shot, FROM THE TV BROADCAST! lol

Hartman on one knee before he released that throw. . .

not an INT in the endzone!

shouldve come back out.
