2023 Carolina Panthers thread - HOF Julius Peppers

Good lord. Young is hurt. Y'all sound like Q anon. Is Young really JFK Jr?
This thread has become ridiculous in the last few weeks. Catastrophizing because a rookie QB with mediocre receivers and underperforming o-line hasn’t played well in his first 2 games.

you cannot fire a coach after six games unless he commits a criminal or immoral act or you will not be able to hire a good coach ever again

LOL. For one of the only 32 NFL jobs on the planet? Get outta here.

0% chance Frank gets fired.

Now I could see Dave telling him to pass play calling over to our OC at some point.

Carolina controversy...is Bryce Young really hurt
Meanwhile in Chicago: possible pedophile DC resigns and Justin Fields bus tosses OC.

Y'all need to step up your shit
Pedophile? I thought it was drugs. Damn, I need to keep up better.

No way he is fired. Cats assembled one of the greatest coaching staffs ever. I can see them forcing Frank to turn over play calling.

On the other hand, if they fired Frank they could promote Jim to the HC. Interesting!

Lmao ph they are not firing Frank during the bye week chill out man

They won’t but 0-6 Reich wouldn’t deserve a job. He wasn’t brought there to rebuild.

Yeah if this isn’t a rebuild, then what is? I think he was brought in to specifically rebuild

The team that ended last season needed a new QB and talent upgrade on offense. The plan shouldn’t have been to field an even worse team with no first round pick.

An 0-6 start would be an unacceptable disaster.

There was no circumstance where Carolina was winning the NFC this year. So they had to tear some things down to try and get better by year 3/4 of Bryce’s contract. Early Round 2 picks are super valuable also

Easy to say when your team is getting the first round pick.

You can argue there is an advantage of getting the #1 pick vs. the 14th pick and a 8-9 season. There’s no argument that having the 33rd pick is better than having the 46th pick and a 8-9 season.

They already tore down the roster by trading CMC and Moore. There wasn’t really any tear down after drafting Young.

I sort of view all of that as the same thing

Did we upgrade our on offense? A washed up, slow 33 y.o WR doesn’t scream upgrade. I understand the hope that everything was going to fall into place in tear 1 but that’s not realistic imo.

i know the record was decent under Wilks but i don't think they were really very good last year. The record was deceiving...
It stinks becuase of the lack of a draft pick in Rd 1, but if by the end of the year you can definitively say Bryce Young is a dude, then the record doesn't matter this year

They weren’t very good but they were better than this and had an offensive identity. They won 6 games in 12 games. The previous 6 wins took 22 games. No idea how long the next 6 games will take.
