The only physical nervous tic I have is when I am on a computer reading text I constantly highlight text then click to unhighlight it over and over again.

Does anyone have any nervous tics? I think I've mentioned this before, but all this time in coaching has left me with a tic where I scrunch up my nose like a rabbit whenever I'm stressed or uncomfortable. With every new class that I have I always tell them I have one at the beginning of the semester and then give bonus points to whoever identifies it first. Then I tell them to yell at me when I'm doing it so I'm cognizant of it. But that has been unsuccessful in stopping it. Any advice on how to deal with a tic or make it go away forever?
I masturbate…. A lot

friend’s dog just turned 17 — oldest dog that I think I’ve met personally

grandparent’s cat lived to be about 25 or so

One of ours turned 17 back in July. She’s doing as well as can be expected but developed an infection over the weekend and was hurting. My wife was in fully on meltdown mode. She’s had the dog since she was 16 so literally more than half of her life at this point and through pretty much every major life milestone. I greatly fear the day she passes.

I chew on the inside of my mouth/cheek. Not good Bob

spirited away made me think about a lot of things - growing up in japan, death of parents etc - but oddly enough it made me want to replay those late 90s point and click adventure games that are so vivid with their aesthetics and world building

where you're thrown into a world that's so bizarre that you have to reorient before you can proceed

feels like that's less common now in media but idk

i'm in a BULLSHIT training this morning where we're talking about why you go back to disney as an analogy for how i want clients to feel when they call me for help on how to claim a tax loss on the sale of a subsdiary

porco rosso looks fun we might watch that next
Yeah it's a good one, might just sneak into my top 5 if I was ranking them

Spirited and Mononoke are my top 2, after that it gets hard to pick, but Howl's might be #3, that or Nausica

sweet dee's cousin says Mononoke is her favorite movie

she teaches climate/environmental communication so i have been told this makes sense

This is a banger, maybe also sightly traumatizing for 6 year old cookout, iirc

Think I've repressed those memories
under appreciated Soundtrack by 70's band America.

My second wedding, my oldest daughter and i danced to "That's All I've Got to Say". It was her favorite movie when she was little... can't hear that song without sobbing

Yeah it's amazing, music is also my favorite by far

Think I'm gonna need to do some rewatching soon

If that's her background I'm guessing she also likes ponyo
