Pitt Game Thread

Mark Richt acts like he‘s got dementia or something. He sure doesn’t speak like he did when he was coaching.
I think he had some kind of a medical event. I thought for a long time is was a stroke but someone told me otherwise. Can't recall what he said. His son was at Clemson and transfered to Mars Hill as QB IIRC, when my nephew was at M.H..

Btw, let’s not overlook the drive that Pitt had to go ahead. Stupid Prevent.

Although his overall statistics weren't great, remember he has had exactly one week taking snaps with the starting team. You could see him getting more and more comfortable as the game progressed. Don't know many qb's who could have done better with as little preparation. Hell, he performed better in the 4th. qtr. than our other guys. Saddle him up and ride him the rest of this year, definitely has more upside than we've seen from the qb. so far. Oh yeah, props again to the defense for keeping us in the game. My vote for Brad Lambert for assistant coach of the year.
Did he even get that? Sounded like he was possible, but not confirmed.

Not a surprise KeShawn had a play to save the game. Should absolutely be the focal point of the offense to let Jahmal and KeShawn try to move the chains. Get these receivers the ball and we have a shot.

The WR's are now back in play with a QB that can sling it.

Good times!

We blitzed on the 3rd-and-10 they converted.

We blitzed Mustapha on the 2nd-and-2.

We brought the house (looked like Cover 0, maybe the ends were dropping into coverage? Andersen and both LB's blitzed) on their final TD.

Would love to have seen The Mooch from the beginning of the season but I get why he was third string.... Doesn't look as polished. Some people just have game time moxy and can step up on big games and others get the yips.

I had the case of the yips one year so I totally feel for Mitch. Honestly best thing that can be done for him is to drop to a lower level and gain his confidence back.

Great win, great effort, and great results by the third-string QB, Claiborne, and the entire defense. But, the most amazing thing that happened, that I have not seen mentioned, was that Coach Clawson and Coach R actually called and ran a REVERSE. I repeat, the current Wake coaching staff ran a REVERSE and handed the ball to an end. Jim Grobe probably had a heart attack if he was watching when this play was called. This was a game that will go down in history for many reasons!
