I think they had kids too, it’s the Eddie Murphy thing, you start making family friendly movies after a while. Also studios suck and have no time for R rated comedies half the time unless it’s a proven writer director.
sure but Murphy is a good example actually: those other actors are still doing dope shit every so often (Uncut Gems! Can You Ever Forgive Me!) but Murphy has tried to do it exactly once and failed miserably (the panned Mr. Church, which I admittedly have not seen). I almost made a post a few minutes ago bringing him up specifically in that I'm not sure he actually has the acting chops those others do

Wow someone hasn’t seen The Nutty Professor

Had a snow squall move through tonight and it'll be the kid's first drive in crappy conditions. Hope she doesn't end up in a ditch!
Do or do not.

Or, as my dad always said (when I used the word hope)

"hope in one hand and piss in the other. See which fills up first."

Sitting here debating with myself if Robin Williams could have pulled off Wonka and I think he'd be capable, but I'm not sure he would have. Then I got to thinking about other comedians and thought about how hilariously uncomfortable it would be to see Norm Macdonald in that role and now I'm a little sad.

Absolutely capable of an incredible performance worthy of Wonka.

The "problem" is the iconic version Wilder created.

He got a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award and an Oscar nomination for Dreamgirls. Great film. Great role. Those are acting chops. He just doesn’t make a ton of movies.

My dad doesn't swear. He didn't consider piss a swear
Now you see what I had to put up with.

Kid made it home and only fishtailed once. We've gotten 2 inches of snow in the last hour, so it has really been coming down. She was coming home from hockey tryouts after learning to ice skate this summer and having never played before. She was apparently so terrible, the coach told her there was no way he could put her in the rotation because he thought she'd probably get hurt. So, he assigned her backup goalie duties. Still, really proud of her for giving zero fucks about what anyone thought and going for it with an inspiring level of unearned confidence.

Down in Texas before the annual snowstorm the radio would play an ad teaching southerns how to drive in snow. They would say brake like you are driving your grandma to church wearing her Sunday best and she has a bowl of potato salad resting uncovered on her lap.

I have a feeling that would be unhelpful for your daughter though.
