On An Airplane Next To A Fat Guy

I’ve never had a problem in Detroit.

I also like Dallas, but probably because I can park in the Centurion lounge and not care about anything else.

Detroit is probably the best major airport international arrival experience I've had. Plenty of room, easy to get through and for connections you just go up two sets of escalators and hop back in the TSA line. Minneapolis is also a pretty easy international arrival experience as well.

I'd rather somebody wear sweatpants than the now-popular indoor scarf phenomenon. Every time I see someone wearing a scarf above about 25 degrees I just want to cinch it around their throat and string them up by it. The receptionist in my office wears a scarf all day about 3 days per week, and it's like 50 degrees outside and she never leaves the building. What the hell do you need a scarf for? In our last partners meeting I proposed firing her for it as it pisses me off so much, but I got outvoted.

2and2 is the rare poster that has not evolved at all in the decade plus existence of this board. I love that guy.

Just landed in the 7th circle of hell (MCO) and taxiing from the runway to the gate, traffic going to A terminal looked like it was backed up for miles (maybe there was an accident or something and B isn’t as bad???). I am so not looking forward to flying out of here next week. On the positive side, my upgrade cleared 5 days before the flight and I had a flat bed for a nice little 50 minute nap.

isn't the drive from Atlanta to Orlando only like six hours?

seems like not too bad to avoid the 7th circle of hell

the 6th circle of hell is the drive from Atlanta to Orlando around the Holidays
I don’t like driving long distances and am usually an anything more than 5 hours is a flight person. Last Christmas, however, I chose to drive because I was going to be in Florida for an extended time and rental car prices were just ridiculous. Never again. It should be about a 6.5 hour drive and it was only a little more than that on the way to Florida. The way back took me over 9 hours. As shitty as MCO is, I’ll take that over the possibility of 9+ hours of traffic.

I’ll have to admit, MCO wasn’t that bad. I got there 3hr early for an 10am flight, spent 15 minutes checking my bag and 15 minutes in pre-check.

Then I sat in the Delta lounge for 2hr.

Ooops, wrong thread. I've done them in an airport before though.
