Well, there’s our everything that can go wrong on the road did so game. Let’s hope it’s the only one.

FSU shoots lights out on FTs
FSU, in spite of playing very physical defense, did not rack up more fouls than us
Sallis plays horribly

Pretty tough to win.

Game was an anomaly. Perfect storm of FSU shooting well above their ability, horrific officiating, Sallis and Reid having generally bad games, and a quick turnaround on the road.

Onward.
 
we had a poor game but their inside passing was a lot better than ours, they took it to the rim and won, let's start a new streak on Saturday
 
Missed free throws down the stretch hurt as well. Carr missing 2 and Pfred missing the front end were uncharacteristic. And their guys making every free throw while shooting 41% on the year is just not a good combo. 5 point road lose is not as bad as it could have been. Honestly can't believe we were actually in the game with how poorly we played.
 
Can’t wait for everyone to use this game to shit on us for the rest of the year

But way too many fouls called on Wake. f$u was playing hack a Wake player and got away with it.

Miller's gonna be sore tomorrow.
 
I still don't understand why, if they're going to let it be a physical game, we don't put Marsh in for some hard fouls at the very least. Are we redshirting him or something?

We looked so ugly, we broke ESPN's scoreboard.

Our bigs continue to struggle. Carr with three bad games in a row. He can't play against physical teams, even with the extra weight. Keller obviously can't. Reid is too busy warming the bench committing an Eff-ton of stupid fouls. His blocked dunk was a 5 point swing. From on the cusp of going up 5 to tie game. And it was all them from that point out.

Everybody struggled though. Our guards scored, but they couldn't handle the ball. Some of it is credit to FSU's ball pressure, but mostly it was us being careless.

That was not a "tough road game". There were like 5 people in the crowd and zero noise.

Back to being a bubble NIT team. Hopefully that was our ACC tourney performance that we got out of the way early and won't use again.
 
Wake will be a different team at full strength. They didn't play a good game against an awful FSU team. I got to think it helps FSU with respect to the NIT bubble, though.
 
FSU plays good defense, Sallis once again invisible for most of the game and the stretch where Reid and Carr were both out hurt us a bit. Sallis had a few really bad turnovers and has not been himself the last two games. Hildreth and Parker kept us in the game when we needed and Boop was solid as usual.
 
As Dan Bonner said, FSU brought more intensity than WF from the tip.

Our team needs to turn it around because UVA comes into town after a week off and in need of a win.
 
Such a winnable game. Very disappointed with the sloppy passes throughout and felt like we gave up too early - Forbes and the entire team except for maybe Cam, Parker and Boopie. We are better than that. Come back and spank UVA Saturday.
