Not an easy convo but completely understandable in this situation. I'd go with honesty and maybe a little "won't work long term because even I don't want to live there (so don't think long distance will work. Let's have fun until I leave or you find a #1"

Each of those things is enough... all of them together is definitely too much (but wth is the mouse ears thing?). I hope there's some pressure release soon. The ex's go-to thing is a real drag... I'd drop that first, if you can.

1. I feel very lame in saying I don't have a favorite writer, but certain stories will grab me and I get sucked in by the story. I like any writer who can make me feel connected to a character and empathetic to their story. Margaret Mitchell comes to mind because Gone With the Wind, for all its issues, has always been a favorite and I feel connected to a different character each time I read it.
2. Still an avid Avett Brothers fan, but lately I've been legit enjoying Taylor Swift not because I'm a swiftie (I can't name songs) but because I'm fascinated by her whole development and work as a female artist.
3. Tom Hanks
