2024 Wake Baseball Thread: What Did We Do To Deserve This?

Game is chippy. Lots of chirping on both sides. Also, Gill doesn’t look great catching Burns. I realize Burns throws hard, but Gill looks super late getting his glove in position to receive fastballs.
 
Anyone know what Massey’s pitch count is today? Should we expect a bit of an increase over last week, hopefully get four innings out of him this time?

I hope they keep his pitch count low and once again take a serious look at the young pitchers. One of the keys to the season is having good arms behind Hartle and Burns. It is not obvious who some of those guys are right now. Need to find them in these early games.
 
since we are again having trouble showing velo (and pitch count) on the tv broadcast (it eventually got figured out last season) would appreciate someone at the game giving updates on massey’s FB velocity.

it was shockingly low last start (i think 89 may have been his mode FB, and 91 was the highest i noticed)
 
looks like it was 91 on his first pitch based on a shot of the scoreboard
