MBB Game 32: ACCT 2nd Round - GT/ND - D.C. - Wednesday 2:30 - ESPN

We've been playing aggressive defense. Thats the difference between this and a lot of the games we've played. Of course we've seen the 5-9 point lead at the half. So we need to come out doing the same thing.

Carr tries to throw a short, hard, low pass to Marsh.

Have you ever played basketball with Marsh? Like pickup or something? Dumb pass.

Mid range 2-pointer baseline forced by Sallis - miss.

Boopie pulls up mid-range 2-pointer - miss.

Carr with a short baseline follow - miss.

They are going to guard the 3-point line and force us to drive and SCORE dammit.

If we didn't have a history of second half collapses this season I don't think any of us would be particularly concerned right now.

That said, this team better be ready to come out swinging in the second half

Led by 14 at one point, lead by 6 at the half. Why do I have this sense of dread that we get boat raced in the 2nd half? As an added bonus, if ND wins they will shoot 0-30 from 3 in their next game.

Reid not playing his best so far.

Defensively haven’t played badly as a team.

Gotta do better passing to score (requires catching the pass) when they pick up their ball pressure.

Thanks for that info. I didn't remember that was the case. Now has or did Duke consult ACC? It was also a live action situation. Was Flip called for a foul/ technical by the trailing ref at Cameron Indoor Toilet?
nope, it effectively didn't happen

I will never understand Forbes' timeout usage. We've watched a 14 point lead slip to 6 (maybe 4 or 3 here) without calling one until the "use it or lose it" zone. Like, why? We're at the end of the season and way past the "let them learn and play through it" phase.
Easily the most frustrating thing I find about his coaching in-game, but seems to fit his overall style.
