Nah not on board with this. It's definitely not an up and under, it shouldn't be called that. It's a reverse. He's 100% right and it's not a bad thing to call it out. Despite Bilas's Duke background, his son went to Wake and he's always been a supporter of ours. I mean, most announcers are dicks but he's near the bottom of the list as far as media guys Wake fans need to go after.
 
Deacs with a buzzer to buzzer win. The story is the outstanding effort on defense. Notre Dame got no easy shots and were held to 20% from the field, 0% from 3 in the second half. Carr with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Miller led the team with 17 points and chipped in 7 boards. Sallis added 14 and Hildreth with 10. In 43 minutes the bench added 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. Everyone busted their ass on D.

BTW, this is a 20 win team. 40 more minutes of sitting on the edge of your seat tomorrow.

Sallis must play better tomorrow for us to have any chance. He was terrible for 30 minutes today

Maybe so but it's still painful to listen to him. Condescending both to the audience and his broadcast partner. You can take the person out of the place (i.e., Duke), but you can't take the place out of the person.
 
Forbes presser. Would like to be a little deeper, bench wise.

Yeah, below-the-surface issue of a great win is Sallis coming out hot then disappearing again. Two 3's in the first 5 minutes then 0% after. 12 points first half, only 2 in the second and those 2 came off a free layup thanks to a Parker steal. Worrisome but such an incredibly even game from everyone maybe we just didn't need him to score. Only starter not in double figures was Reid because he missed a dunk - but he had 5 assists too. Boopie just outstanding all day against Burton and a great game offensively. And props to Cam for just erasing Shrewsberry. Total lockdown.


And whatever but I like Bilas. So many worse out there, and he knows the game. I'm just saying of all the media guys to attack his kid is alumni and he's generally very, very positive about us.
 
It may be this simple: some of our guys get nervous in tight non-home games and shoot worse. Hope they overcome that tomorrow.
 
Bilas hate is dumb. He’s great and likes Wake (to the extent a Duke alum can). Plus, ACC needs advocates like him in national media.
