Steve Forbes credibility watch

This is true. My 18 year old son has never known a time when Wake was good in basketball.

That's on you then, because my 17 year old used to run around the living room during games with a WF blanket tied to himself like a cape yelling, "I'M BEING JEFF TEAGUE!!!!"

At least next time we win the ACCT, we’ll get another one back to back if history repeats itself

Maryland has been to the ACC tournament semifinals twice since the last time WF did it

along with every current ACC team with the exception of UL and Cuse - although one of those teams would have made it in 2020 since they were set to play each other in the quarterfinals

And compounding the problem is we now have a lost generation of young fans such as your 14 year old son who has never seen Wake succeed in basketball. I'm sure he's smart enough to find other things to occupy his time other than watching shitty basketball. Based upon posts, I would guess the majority of this board is 40+ years old or much older like me. Not sure the younger generations will even bother to care as they have many more entertainment options.
Just go spend a pleasant afternoon strolling down Ron Wellman Way or around Wellman Plaza and I'm sure you'll feel better about things.

He definitely would watch the games with me. I have a picture of him in his CP3 jersey. But it's not something that he really remembers now.

If NC State can do it, then I guess our turn will come one day. Hopefully it's not another 37 years or something.
I mean I realize this is likely partly in jest. But we may well could get hot and win something like this. That surely is not what we want.

There are a few of us that would like to go to 3-4 Sweet 16s and play on the last weekend once a decade. That is sustained success. We have not had that in the post-Odom era.

Since we've last won the ACCT, I've gotten married, made three moves, put two kids through undergrad and one through grad school, made investments, lost investments, and now trying to recover said investments so I'll be able to fully enjoy retirement within the next 10 years just in time for the next back to back ACCT wins.

I've welcomed a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandchildren, helped navigate my company through the farce that was Y2K, survived the 2008 financial meltdown, retired, rejoined the workforce as a part-time executive consultant (how the hell I got talked into that is a mystery), re-retired, seen both parents pass away and bought/sold two homes. My oldest grandchild is almost 17. On the bright side, my golf handicap has been significantly lowered over this time.
