2024 Wake Baseball Thread: What Did We Do To Deserve This?

They are almost surely about to win, but can we please talk about why uf is still top 10?

Maybe Hawke plays at 2B vs. LHP (one of the lefties would sit).

Could even do Winnay at 3B and leave King in the OF. King does look really good in the infield though.
 
Last night, Jake played RF and Ballestro has been the DH. The question is whether you want to keep Javar Williams in the lineup. He oozes potential, but is young.

I think you need King on double play balls desperately. Now where that impact is felt most (2B or 3B), I’ll leave it to those of you who know more than I do.

I think that’s a no brainer. I think Williams and Nelson are only getting better.

Kind of agree. That's one benefit of WF's injury situation. It forced Williams and Nelson into the lineup, and it appears they can play.
 
i think both play against RHP until further notice.

i think we can get more creative again LHP since gill, hawke and probably ballestero (i think he's a better hitter righty) should be more effective at the plate. and maybe even katz if he's ever gonna play again.

I truly believe this team is getting better. A lot better. Assuming things come together like they are expected to, we can be really good mid-late season.
