From the Land of ELC this time. What will those nutty Okies think of next?

After being with the school district for nearly six years, 3rd grade teacher Kimberly Crain has resigned after parents accused her of filming 3rd and 4th grade female students in lingerie, Oklahoma's KWTV reports.

The report cites an event on Nov. 11, when Crain allegedly invited five students to her home for a pizza-and-Christmas-decorating party.

According to an affidavit obtained by KWTV, one student told her parents that the teacher had them change into Christmas-themed bras and panties. Afterwards, Crain filmed and took photos of them while they ate pizza and decorated the tree.

Points added for creativity. Points deducted for recording the event.

Oh Hufffington, sometimes you need to chance how you present your headlines...

Is lingerie the right word for this situation?

Huffinton really is a POS site. Its supposed to be a news? site, but then its got all those pop ups and footer bars and nonsense.

This is obviously the conclusion that the author wants readers to come to without outright writing it - which is pretty god damn troubling for what should be "objective" journalism.

There aren't that many other conclusions to draw from a female teacher filming 3rd and 4th grade girls in specialty underwear.

I'm going to keep an open mind because I remember this one time the media said an NBA player & his star friend raped a student but it turns out things were not quite like that.

But yeah, teachers shouldn't be photographing students or having them skype with an old man.

C'mon, ITK. I don't think you can make an argument that these little girls were consenting adults.

EVEN SANTA CLAUS?

That's not what I am saying at all. I am just saying that the truth may not be what is being reported. I'm reserving judgement till I am given more information.

How so? A teacher didn't film 3rd and 4th grade girls trimming a tree at her home?

Nah, I'll just wait for you to overreact, get huffy, and leave. I'm just trying to have a conversation. You should try to do the same. You made a comparison. I questioned it.

1) First of all, before making a judgement I will need to see what "lingerie" is? Is it bras and panties or something more like what Knight posted?

2) 3rd and 4th grade children are highly impressionable and susceptible to being coached to say something that is not true by parents, the police, etc. How do we know that is not the case here?

3) I did say she shouldn't be photographing them or skyping them or having them over to her house. HOWEVER, I can see how these things might happen in a small community. But I need more information.

Those are my main points for reserving judgement. It also doesn't help that the article is poorly written.

obviously the lingerie thing is awful. but in theory, if awakeknight's question was right and the girls were just wearing pajamas, then i actually don't see what's so sketchy about it. when i was growing up we went over to teachers' houses just to say hey. i never had a teacher that babysat me, but a lot of my friends did, and we didn't think twice about it. nor do i find it unusual for somebody to video tape their tree getting decorated. honestly, the only real sketchy part about this story is the lingerie aspect (for now i'm ignoring the other allegations about the skype and the posing on a desk thing. not enough details there to have any idea what that's about).

i mean, am i completely wrong?
