Incorrect. He red shirted his first year at Georgetown.

(Yes, I realize that this post is ridiculous but can't miss the opportunity to tell RJ he is wrong).

All in all it was an ugly game (outside of the first 5 minutes or so) but a win is a win and this one was against an ACC team so I am not going to complain.

He's just not good. He gets down on himself a lot during games. I don't think his self-esteem or ego is inflated at all. See my post in RJ's thread for more.
 
I would bet there were only 6 or 7k in attendance, but the lower bowl was pretty full except for the student section, so it didn't look terrible, and it got decently loud at the end. I was satisfied with our home court advantage this game.

Ish was a horrible decision maker for 2.5 years. It happens and takes some time to get used to the speed of the game. Last year was a throwaway year. I thought he did OK, but yes, he made some bad decisions. Pretty solid though and hit some big shots.
 
7000 seems about right.

Considering the students weren't there (though, sadly, there weren't that many fewer than "normal") I thought we had a pretty decent home court advantage.

He, he, Some of the 'experts' here (actually the old place but same people) used to say Ish was not an ACC PG, now they are right he's an NBA PG getting paid 6 figures to do it.

FWIW, if you look at TC's body of work from last year and this year, he's certainly improved his play. Not saying he's at the level we really need for our PG but if people say he's not improving, year over year, they haven't watched the games (which based on the apathy expressed here is possible).
 
So where do we think VaTech finishes? I honestly think they'll finish in the top half of the ACC, and potentially in the top 4.
 
I do not pay attention often to who starts game threads, but does RJ typically start them? If not , may we have found the good luck guy?

From what I have seen of the ACC, I see no how no way 1st isn't UNC, 2nd isn't Duke. After that I would have to believe UVA is 3rd and from what I've seen of the other teams, Va Tech has been the 4th most impressive team.

That was my line of thinking. UVA has seemed great so far, but they've also played a fairly easy schedule. I won't be surprised if they under-perform now that their expectations are so high.
 
UVa did have a barn burner with possibly the worst team in Division 1. Like #345 out of 345.
