Roy didn't know he left walk-ons on court

Roy's trying to pretend like it's the first time students have ever stormed any court anywhere.
 
As others have said & implied in this thread... there is no way that the spokesperson's statement is accurate.

If Roy made the decision for all ~20 guys (walk-ons + coaches) to head to the locker room for safety concerns... there's no way he stops & does the handshake line @ the FSU bench like he (& his team) did.

0% chance that this transpired in the way the UNC PR-machine portrayed... Roy made some really crappy decisions (or at least in the execution of his plans).
 
What a total bitch move. Whoever heard of a college team trying to forfeit a game? Awful.
 
This is not a defense of Ol Roy but has anyone thought that maybe the walk-ons said "fuck it" I am staying in the game. I never play and maybe I can get a cheap bucket and earn a place in the UNC record book.

Screw the FSU fans I'll get out of here okay.

I mean if I was a walk on and put in all the practice and travel time with the team that's what I would do. There could have been enough confusion to take advantage of it.

There is 0% chance that happened IMO. There is no way a group of walk-ons said "fuck it".

The walk-ons said Eff you ol roy I'm checking my ass into this game to score a bucket. I'll take my chances with the crowd. If I have to I can slap a few silly while getting off the court. Hell I might even cop a feel on some cheerleader as well.

Wake fans should act as if they are going to rush the court just after the tip of the 2nd half. Only shot we have at winning. :thumbsup:
 
Why does Roy and UNC think they can reserve the right to end the game early, because they are getting drilled? Other teams don't have that insane sense of entitlement. My favorite part of this is Roy tried to cover up in the press conf, with saying he didn't want to talk about it. Because, it would take away how great FSU played. Thats BS, he needed 48 hours to formulate a "story" so the UNC PR machine could get out in front of it. One of the saddest, and weakest displays I have ever seen. Can you imagine Dean Smith, Jimmy V, or Terry Holland pulling this crap?

On Saturday, Roy demonstrated that he is both a quitter and a liar.

And when was the last time Roy asked to stop a game when the cheaters were rolling big over some directional school?

He is a liar for saying Hamilton asked for him to take his starters to the lockeroom and now changing the story to asking that the game be stopped. He is a gutless pussy for running away with time on the clock, no matter what the real story is.

What a disgrace.

That has got to be a lie. I can't imagine Roy Williams or any other coach would ask the game be called over with 14 seconds left. He knew he left the walk-ons out there, he should own up to and shut up about it. When we beat the crap out of his Kansas team at the Joel that one year, did he ask Odom if the game could be called before time ran out??? What a punk!!!
