Speaking of JoePa, I'd say getting fucked in the ass at the Joel on the reg is what is hurting our basketball program the most right now.
 
I tend to be a positive and optimistic fan. With the current basketball situation, even I am negative. I don't know how you could fake anything otherwise right now. Sorry.

Aren't class rankings largely dependent on how many kids you have coming in? Just scrolling through Rivals 150 and we have 2 guys listed, with the highest being #70?

You can make an argument that no team has won a championship with that sort of 5 man recruiting class in god knows how many years and that filling up 5 schollys shouldn't put you in the top 10-20 if you're bringing in that type of ranked player to fill up half your roster.

I'd argue the 1 man class that picks up a top 30 or 50 guy could potentially be a better "class" since its unlikely to kill your title chances.

Based on our ranking of 15 on ESPN, I count 10 top 30 guys that go to schools not ranked ahead of us as a "class" I'm not sure it's fair to say we had a better class than Kansas, who probably just has a smaller class, but pulled a 5* 24th ranked guy. Objectively I think we can all conclude we're unlikely to have outrecruited Kansas anytime in the near future.

Granted I just found out CMM wasn't white 3 minutes ago, so what do I know.

The Bzzz apologists are acting like that class is going to take us from bottom of the league to the bubble as freshmen. I hope they are right, but many of those same people were the ones hyping up Parade AA Chase Fischer.

I was going to make the point that the class looks lower ranked than the Skeen/Ish class to illustrate that it doesn't appear that good, but then Skeen ended up being the best player on a team that went to the championship game and Ish was playing in the NBA, so it didn't help my argument.

The point you could make, in my opinion at least, is that large classes with no true "top tier" players usually don't work out perfectly.

We have 6 players coming in. I'll be pleasantly surprised if all 6 see all four years out here at Wake Forest. Anything beyond and above that will be dandy.

Chase will be fine. He needs a season to acclimate to the speed of the game but I see him improving steadily as he finds his role. He may wind up being the 6th man shooter waiting on the kick-out from a driving CMM or C.J.
 
On this subject, nothing cracks me up more than the hyperdefensive Bzzz fan who thinks that any accountability on him this year is unfair but then has these outrageous expectations for next year.
 
Next year the party line will be--c'mon, these kids are all freshmen! You can't expect miracles right away. Not fair to judge him on this (next) year's performance.
