Could Childress be HC someday?

Brey has only had one Sweet Sixteen in eleven years at ND. I'm not sure that's good enough.

That being said....I don't think Coach Larue is ready to be the head coach of an ACC basketball team right now. Maybe someday, but not in the near future. I would imagine he has learned a lot over the course of the past 3 seasons...winning with Gaudio (which Larue was used to) and the extreme losing of last season with Bz.

All of the coaches are very excited about the 2012 recruiting class. I hope they all stay.

Do I kn ow rusty personally? Nope. do I know several people who know him and know a lot about sports. You bet.

do I trust their knowledge on this subject? Yep and some of you do as well.

I would be shocked if you have had as much contact with Rusty as at least two of them have had over the years.
 
Isn't it funny how RJ always has a source that allegedly knows more than whomever he is talking to?
 
I honestly think Brad Stevens might have missed his chance to move to a premier program, at least in the short term. It is hard to see his stock ever getting higher than it was at the end of last season. Butler is not even going to make the tourney this year and it will be a struggle next year as their best players will be frosh.

I disagree. There aren't many two time Final Four coaches.
 
What's typical is I don't use the word "source" very often, but people think I do. This one is a source who has interacted with Rusty a ton over the past fifteen years.

Could KLVegas be rusty or be that close? Possibly.

I think you could be correct. If he doesn't win much in The Dance over the next 2-3 years it could cost him millions.
 
Never count out Brad Stevens...

The guy is a helluva coach. Even if he has a rough couple of years (which looks likely), he will be back. If he goes to 3 Final 4s in 6 years or whatever no one will give a damn what he does inbetween.

I recall someone posting on this board that at some point over the past year or two, Rusty screwed up an in-home visit with a recruit so severely that [Redacted] had to send in Battle for a follow-up visit to clean up Rusty's mess.

That's the gist of what I remember. Does anyone else remember reading a post like that?
 
If Stevens gets to another Final Four, he gets any job he wants.

Dream scenario: Butler has a rough couple of years and after the 2013 season Wellman accomplishes what he tried to do in 2010.
