WFU / UNC Game Thread

It's not exactly the fab five. They're good players but they aren't going to turn anything around in a year.

Well, look back over the past 5 or 6 classes and see how those 4 and 5 star players worked out. I am more suspect of the rating system than ever.

This incoming class will prove Bz's capacity to evaluate talent and then to win with it. After 2 years we will know.

All the hate is ridiculous because of the paucity of talent and all the upheaval. Apparently there is a lot of pent up anger toward Wellman. I don't understand that; but I am not an insider.

Exactly. Based on prior classes, at least 1-2 will transfer, maybe one will be stud and 1-2 more will contribute.

CL, and I'm guessing when they struggle, we'll see the old "What did you expect, they're just freshmen!?!?!?!??!" line.
 
That all said, I think our players handled themselves well, gave it all they had and lost to a much better team. That's about all you can ask.
 
Our 4 and 5 star players generally play on NCAA tournament teams.
 
Carolina played like absolute shit, and we failed to take advantage.

AFA, Tony Woods, Ty Walker, Ari Stewart, Carson D, JT Terrell, Marvin Tabb, Travis McKie....these are our most recent 4 and 5 star recruits.
 
My concern is that next year the excuse will be 'we are young' and the next will be, 'we lost our best player CJ...and Travis inexplicably declared himself for the draft so without those 2 we can't be very good.'

I don't hate Wake Forest basketball. I just don't give a shit about it anymore.

Hope future classes bring us back to where we were...until then its moral victories and almost-had-its

Yep. We were very over-matched - but kept out heads up and plugged away. One can't confuse efforts with results, but glad we had at least the effort.

I texted one of my best friends from Wake, massive BBall fan, that we were going to be in trouble tonight. He asked me who we were playing...
