What was the problem with that post? It seems pretty accurate. The Miami guy was clearly a troll regardless of whether it was true or not - even his fellow fans think he's a douchebag.

Having known you in college, I have a hard time believing you fault a fan for trying to get in the head of a coach or players on the bench. I don't consider that trolling. That's part of the game. It's a fan who paid a few dollars to watch the game. His job is to cheer and heckle. The coach reacting to it in such a lame way is the only real issue here. His job is to focus on winning the game and be a public representative of the school.

Yeah, heckling definitely isn't trolling.

I'm not even that bothered with Buzzy boy telling the dude to fuck off. Whatever to that.

I'm a little bit irked that he was actually paying attention to the fans instead of fully focusing on the game and even more irked that he decided to respond to the fan instead of focusing on the game.

Bush league, Buzz. Bush league.

I joined this thread late so I don't really get what you're calling me out on. I got confused with what actually happened and what was conjecture and my confusion was compounded because I was skimming/looking for an actual link to an actual story, but only found that comment thread on ESPN. I was not reading posts for confirmation of fact, though I am not doubting it once it was pointed out.

Weird to be called out as being a high school kid by a guy who uses LOLcat though. That stings. It's like being called a retard by a guy with Down's.

In total agreement. I hate the indirect email apology too. Ask for a phone number and give the guy a fucking call if you're going to apologize. At the very least, email him your freaking self.

This is exactly how I felt about the situation. In the heat of the moment things happen. Your coach and AD handled it like stand-up men, and it's over with.
 
TC, it's totally classless to give shit to someone you know shouldn't respond in kind.

Plus you know little about sports if you do this to a coach whose team is down big to your team.

What's even worse is it's a coach with whom your team has no history.

doing it to K or BillyD or royboy might make some sense, kicking someone when they are down is a classless pussy's move.

When you go to a basketball game you treat it like a golf or tennis match. You try to provide the visiting team with a hospitable environment. I don't. If that makes me a "classless pussy," then so be it.
