I get that Ron Wellman thinks that Wake Fans and Alums have no clue about what it takes to be a good coach and run the athletic department, but my goodness the players deserve better.

What parent would want to send their child to play at for Bzz. I know Wake has a decent recruiting class but it wont make any difference with Buzz coaching.

Giving Bzz a good recruiting class is like giving your 95 year old grandmother a Porshe and putting her on the Audobahn.

At this point I dont see how anyone but Buzz or Wellman see the benefit of Bzz remaining another year. He has proven over his coaching career that it is not going to improve. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and realize it was not a good fit. This has nothing to do with either man being bad people, it has just proven to be a bad match. Time to move on.

I hope today's loss will speed up bringing in a new regime.
 
I agree that Bzz needs to get canned ASAP, but Chennault and Desrosiers are probably the worst two players to ever start for the same team in an ACC Tournament game. They are going to school for free and getting to do something that most kids only dream about having the opportunity to do. So no, I don't feel sorry for them.

The thing that bugs me about Chennault was all I heard last year was "Well if we just had Tony Chennault playing things would be so much better." I am not sayng you said that but I read that countless times on the board.
 
Why does Ron Wellman hate us? Well, I know why he hates me... why does Ron Wellman hate every other Wake fan?

I remember being told on the old board how much of an impact PG he would be for us. I cant fathom how over his head he is. I honestly don't think he would even do well at a mid major.

Well with that gas economy, of course it's going to fail! What we need to do is find a nice, unoffensive and economical savvy vehicle that only needs to get us from point A to point B.

I know Dino was begging to get TC into school. He certainly saw something in him. Perhaps a completely different style of coaching and play would have helping him along. It is pretty clear that the match with Bzzz is a disaster. It is also possible that Dino and other evaluators were completely off and the kid doesn't have the skill set to compete at the high D1 level.
 
Wow. Interesting statement, I would love to know more about what he is referencing. Is it the fact that we are constantly getting pummeled? Is it in reference to bzz coaching?

He doesn't have the skill set.

He doesn't have a coach who can teach him skills to at least be a serviceable ACC player.

I hope he makes the best of his free education.

He doesn't have a coach who can teach him skills to at least be a serviceable ACC player.

I hope he makes the best of his free education.
