I believe last night's improvement was due to the team playing more loosely and effectively because a new coach is on the way and pushing the transfer button is not as much of a factor.

Before we consider another contract extension after last night, keep in mind we had our 5th year coach, playing at home and eking out an overtime win against a 1st year coach, who's team had not won an ACC game on the road in 2 years (0-16).

I say we extend Manning another 5 years, then in 2026, when he has a winning record. Wellman will be able to say he was right all along - the fans just needed to be patient.

Memphis scoring their last touchdown was our only chance. Cannot believe they did not run the clock down and kick a chip shot field goal, with no time left on the clock. We got the ball back, down 4, with two timeouts, and the rest is history. Terrible clock management and strategy from Memphis.

After 8 consecutive years of historical levels of failure, and incredible embarrassment with our Athletic Director, both of his hires during this period, and the teams, how can the wealthy donors and administrators continue to condone and accept this dumpster fire?

One more year will just dig a deeper hole. Eight years digging is way too many.

Manning sucks as a head coach. Wellman has really sucked in his last two basketball hires. period.
