Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

Yea I've been watching. He's been playing great overall. I'm more questioning the impact of his single length clubs on his play (and if added bulk contributed any loss of "feel"). Just saying with how good he's been driving it he "should" be scoring better in my opinion. He's 62nd in Strokes...

Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

Doesn't matter how far and straight you hit it, if you can't hit wedges and can't chip/putt you won't be good. That's why few of the guys on the long drive tour have played on a major tour. Can't figure out if bryson can't hit wedges since they're all the length of a 7 iron or if because he...

    New coaching search thread

I've never had a search firm give a conclusion on who the best person to hire is. They just do the leg work to find qualified/interested candidates to move on to the interview stage. Maybe it's different in coaching searches, but don't think that would be how this works. Also - think it's fair...

Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

CBS gets a lot of flak for their awful coverage and that just adds to it. Speaking of CBS and flak - listen to Peter Kostis on the No Laying Up podcast

    PLEASE CURRIE!!!!

If there were large amounts of undergrads there they were all studying and keeping their mouths shut

    PLEASE CURRIE!!!!

Odds are not in their favor on this given there maybe were 10 students who went to the game

Currie-Bloomberg Interview and Comment on Guarantees

I listened to interview and the tone was AD speak to give credit to other successful programs (and he definitely couldn't say basketball with a straight face)

    Wake Baseball 2020

Hopefully some of our recent big time players get some time in the big leagues this year to help show we can develop players. Doesn't hurt to have the ACC POY track record we've had the past few years, but unfortunately these haven't translated into consistent team performance.

Duke is a dirty team with a Punk coach

Are NCAA rules the same as NFL? Within 2 minutes if offensive player is hurt you either use a timeout or get a 10 second runoff. Needs to be something to hold defense accountable throughout game since they're benefitted by "injury" at all times, especially against up tempo teams.

    Private Dinner Sites - Greensboro

With enough notice Salvino may be able to do it - they have a room that can be closed off. Never seen it closed off but seems like it would make sense for a private event.

Triad restaurant comings, goings and recs

I'll give them some credit that the beer has gotten better with some new things they're making - it's just not the stuff available outside of the restaurant/brewery. I think it's mostly on draft at the brewery by the coliseum though did see a can of something new recently (forget the name) which...

    #20 / #22 Wake Forest (7-1) vs Virginia Tech (5-3) - 11/9 - 3:30PM ACCN

Yes - we rested a bunch of players that week knowing the game didn't matter

What parking (for tailgating) options are there up in Blacksburg?

Caesar's Book Odds to Win ACC...

If my math is right if you were to roll money line it would pay about 30/1 through the regular season (assuming -300 for NCST/Cuse, +500 Clemson, -150 VT & Duke). Assuming a toss up ACCCG (-110) and it'd be about 57/1. So pretty much right on the number. If you exclude Clemson game from your...
