The ladies also just signed a very good 6’1” player from Spain who is immediately eligible. She signed with YClA last spring but did not enroll. She is apparently the player to be named later in the Gina Conti deal.

Deacs were up 3-1 and end up losing 4-3. Squire and Cungu lost in tie breaks in the third. Rumor on Twitter that Nava was defaulted because of a bathroom break between second and third set. No idea what that means.

Starting center Maya Banks is apparently out for the season with a knee injury. Wing Kaylen Dickson missed last year with an injury and hasn’t played this year. Nor has freshman Aliya McWhorter. Recruiting has really improved with three good players signed for next year and two very good players...

Bobby Lutz just withdrew his name from consideration.

Coach Hoover recruited her hard. I think she and Ralph were good friends. Elizabeth had a close friend and highly touted point guard teammate who committed to Tech first and they ended up getting Kitley to join her.

She started and played 33 seconds then came out and did not play again. Had a bulky knee brace.

Had lunch Friday with two huge Carolina homeboys who regularly go to basketball games but never to football games. Both said Mack would have them in the top 10 in two years. We need to crush them in September.

Davie was extremely young last fall. They had no senior starters on offense and only a few senior contributors on defense. Hard to compete in 4A and the CPC while being so young. By contrast the Davie basketball team is 18-1 and dominating the conference with 4 senior starters. Makes a big...
