2014 GRAND SLAM CONTEST - oldschooldeac wins PGA; deacman5 wins GRAND SLAM

He just wanted to eliminate any chance of being a Ryder Cup pick and playing with Bubba.

Think so, and they obviously did OK at the P Cup. I was just joking since Bubba has become so toxic...at least on these boards. Of course Webb didn't want to miss the cut and eliminate his slim chance at making the team.

Well, if 8-10 more players come down with back problems, he might still have a chance.

He wasn't that far out at #16. A $250,000 check this week would have made it close assuming Dufner and DJ are out.

To quote Rick Reilly: Funny how every time Tiger is about to shoot a huge number, his back goes out. He's like vodka. He's 80 proof.

Unfortunately, he didn't make it to the weekend, for his usual collapse, so no need for a convenient spasm or two. Jack's record is looking pretty safe.

Pretty amazing note they just made on the Golf Channel. Tiger just missed his 4th cut of his professional career at age 38 in the PGA Championship with 14 major wins. Jack Nicklaus missed his 4th cut of his professional career at age 38 in the PGA Championship with 15 major wins. Could very well have been 15/15 if Tiger hadn't hit that pin at the Masters last year.

Would love to see him take some serious time off, drop some weight to help save his back, then come back and give us a few years of Tiger versus Rory while they're both playing at an elite level.
