THE MASTERS, a tradition unlike any other

FORMAT: Listed below are most of the golfers participating in the The Masters. You need to pick 6 of them with a total value of 400 or more. Pick carefully - your team will end up "missing the cut" if more than two of your golfers miss the cut in the event! To make your selections, send me a PM with the golfers' names and point values.

SCORING: Your score will be the aggregate of your best four golfers. Since you have to have at least four scores counting, if more than two of your golfers miss the cut, so does your team. There are also "bonus points" at the end of the tournament. If you've got the champion golfer on your team, it's -5. The runner-up gets you -3, and having the third-place golfer gets you -1 off your score.

DEADLINE: All entries must be sent to me by 8:00 AM Thursday, April 6th.

Live Updating Spreadsheet: May not happen this year (stupid ESPN.com), I'll see if I can figure it out.

Unless I change my mind tonight, I think I'll be in at 425.

Has Jon Rahm ever played Augusta?
Played the Masters? No. But played Augusta? I'm sure he has. He's got a strong network in the golf world and I'm sure he's been invited and played many times before.

But yes, historically, first time players have struggled at Augusta. However, in the past 5-10 years, technology has advanced to a point that many believe that disadvantage has been significantly mitigated (and Spieth is probably exhibit A).

Bump.

I think this is the year that Sandy Lyle picks up his second green jacket.
Sadly, Mike Weir has the same odds as Lyle, O'Meara and Mize.

I'm not sure how to interpret all this chatter, but is anyone going to actually take the zip city trinity and fill out the 4oo with the last three?

In at 425 and wishing that people in different parts of the country would pay more attention to time zones.

In at 408... Not expecting much, but this will add to my enjoyment of the tourney.

FWIW, I also made some wagers to win:
Spieth - 13/2
Matsuyama - 22/1
Garcia - 30/1

Thinking about adding DJ (11/2) & Rory (17/2), as well. No clear favorites this year... So many good players out there means attractive odds on most of the field.

If you bet the same amount on each of them, you'll be getting effective odds of 1/10 on DJ and 3/10 on Speith.

I hope you are weighting your bets.
