2017 U.S. Open Contest - DeaconDog holds on to win!

It's moot, but the fairest way to score teams that didn't qualify would be (if only 34 teams qualified) ...

35 points for lowest scoring team with 3 qualified players
36 points for second lowest scoring team with 3 qualified player
... until we run out of teams with 3 qualified players
point total of highest scoring team with 3 qualified players +1 for lowest scoring team with 2 qualfied players
point total of highest scoring team with 3 qualified players +2 for second lowest scoring team with 2 qualified players
... until we run out of teams with 2 qualified players
point total of highest scoring team with 2 qualified players +1 for lowest scoring team with 1 qualified player
point total of highest socring team with 2 qualified players +2 for second lowest scoring team with 1 qualified player
... until we run out of teams with qualified players
all of the remaining teams can get the final score + 1 (and it would have rightly buried their squad)

That's a lot of work and Sleepy deserves a life. :D

That sounds like a fair way to do it. My point was, generally, that it was unfair to teams that made the cut to score every team that didn't only one point more than the last cut team. However, none of that matters unless you have an overall competition and you are adding the scores for all four tournaments.
 
I will gladly share the final results from each tourney if someone else wants to run the cumulative Grand Slam contest.
