The Jets are shopping Darnold, which means they like Wilson and are drafting him there, or they're trading the #2 and other picks for Watson, in which case Houston takes Wilson. So the logical conclusion is Wilson is off the board at #2 either way. I've warmed up to Jones, but ain't no way he's making it past 19. You might be able to trade back a little ways and get him, but that's not happening in the 2nd. I'm not a fan of Trask in the slightest. I see you as to Mariota. Lantz is intriguing, though. He's probably raw and wouldn't start right away, but I see him as a high ceiling/low floor bit of a risk. Wilson ain't happening this year. The cap hit Seattle would take is prohibitive. I think he's just voicing his displeasure to flex some muscle and get some concessions from the team - not sure what those concessions are other than improving the OL, and he kinda has a point there. If he's on the market, it's probably more like next season. I just think you guys are kinda stuck at #8. You're not in a position to get Wilson at #8 or trade up to #2 without giving up a ton. And I see a considerable drop off in quality after Wilson - I'm wary of Fields. And you don't have the draft capital that NYJ and Miami have to get Watson. Carr might be the best option if he ends up on the trade market. Who knows whatTF Gruden is thinking minute to minute.
